What Happens When a Mother Prays?

What happens when you realize the power of a praying mother? It changed me (and others) and makes me thankful.

A few weeks ago I was walking around my house praying and in that moment I reminded myself of my mother SO MUCH! From the tone of my prayer to the words I was saying. So much was her!

I remember waking up on Saturday when I was a teenager to the sound of Mother going through the house praying. I wish she’d be quite so I could rest longer, but today

MAN OH MAN am I thankful to have that memory.

The book ok Proverbs 31 talks about the power of a Godly woman "Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”

I’ve heard it spoken about my whole life and today I can testify to its validity. I want to continue to rise up and call her blessed. I pray that I can be half the mother, my mother has been to me and so many others. She is a spiritual mother to many, as is my father a spiritual father to countless people. My parents have been in the ministry for 42 years and been pastors for 40 years. Things are changing in their life as they age but one thing will always remain... there is something amazing about the power of a praying mother (and father)
